A flavorful chicken dish cooked in a creamy tomato sauce, perfect for serving with rice or naan.

- 1 lb chicken thighs or breasts
- 3 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 cup tomato puree
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp garam masala
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp coriander
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp chili powder (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp salt
- Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt (for marinade)
- 1/2 tsp salt (for marinade)
- 1/2 tsp chili powder (for marinade)
Instructions
- Combine yogurt, garlic, ginger, chili powder, and salt. Mix with chicken and marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
- Heat butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear marinated chicken until browned, then set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté garlic and ginger. Add tomato puree, garam masala, cumin, coriander, paprika, and simmer until thickened.
- Return chicken to the skillet and coat with sauce. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until chicken is fully cooked.
- Stir in heavy cream and simmer for an additional 5 minutes. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan.

- This dish is best enjoyed with steamed basmati rice or warm naan bread.
