Description

A rich and gooey molten chocolate cake perfect for dessert lovers.


Ingredients

Scale
  • ¼ cup (48 g) dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 60 g (2 oz / ¼ cup) unsalted butter, roughly chopped
  • ¼ cup (38 g) plain flour
  • ¼ cup (25 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ cup (35 g) icing sugar / powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup (63 mL) milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C / 355°F (fan-forced/convection) or 190°C / 375°F (standard) and grease your ramekin.
  2. Melt the chocolate chips and butter in a large heat-proof jug in the microwave for 1 minute, whisking until smooth.
  3. Add flour, cocoa powder, and icing sugar, followed by milk; whisk until thick and shiny.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared ramekin, leaving space at the top.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes, until the edges are firm and the center wiggles.
  6. Invert the ramekin onto a plate and dust with icing sugar before serving.
