This moist and delicious chocolate chunk banana bread is the perfect way to use up those ripe bananas.

- 3 ripe bananas (medium size)
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 cup chocolate chunks (dark chocolate preferred)
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth but slightly chunky.
- In another bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined.
- Gently fold in the flour, baking soda, and salt until just mixed (lumps are okay).
- Fold in the chocolate chunks and pour the batter into the greased pan.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean. Cool slightly before slicing.
