Description

This moist and delicious chocolate chunk banana bread is the perfect way to use up those ripe bananas.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas (medium size)
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chunks (dark chocolate preferred)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth but slightly chunky.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined.
  4. Gently fold in the flour, baking soda, and salt until just mixed (lumps are okay).
  5. Fold in the chocolate chunks and pour the batter into the greased pan.
  6. Bake for 60-65 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean. Cool slightly before slicing.
