Description

Delicious and tender bourbon chicken thighs cooked in a savory-sweet sauce.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together bourbon, brown sugar, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic, ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
  2. Place the chicken thighs in the crockpot and pour the sauce over them, ensuring they are fully covered.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  4. Once cooked, shred the chicken in the pot and mix it back into the sauce.
  5. Serve on a plate, drizzle more sauce on top, and garnish with chopped green onions.
