- 2 lbs chicken thighs
- 1/2 cup bourbon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together bourbon, brown sugar, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic, ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
- Place the chicken thighs in the crockpot and pour the sauce over them, ensuring they are fully covered.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken in the pot and mix it back into the sauce.
- Serve on a plate, drizzle more sauce on top, and garnish with chopped green onions.
Notes
- This recipe can be served over rice for a complete meal.
- Adjust the heat by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
